Larry

Rob is a Special Education Teacher in an inner-city Middle School. He works with students with learning disabilities who are often living in difficult socioeconomic living conditions and are from immigrant families. Rob also teaches English to adults.

He grew up in the suburbs of Long Island and has called them home ever since.

Rob as told by Larry:

Rob is patient, kind, caring, adaptable, and a "problem solver".

Between Rob's job as a special education teacher and his childhood - helping to raise his brother who is 8 years younger - Rob is consistently the life of the party and the one keeping everyone in line at the same time. If he is not dancing or making up songs, he is with our family, friends, nieces and nephews and even our friends kids, helping them learn and laugh and smile. Rob's compassionate light hearted nature is not only comforting but he is genuinely one of the funnest and funniest people you could have around.

He is the one re-telling the story about “That one time” making sure to not miss a detail.

Rob is the one with his Camera ready to take pictures so moments are never forgotten.

Rob will be the one teaching them to read and telling bedtime stories before bed.

Larry is a pediatric critical care nurse working in a local pediatric hospital in the ICU.

He grew up in the suburbs of Long Island with his parents and siblings. He lived in Brooklyn for a few years before moving back to the suburbs of Long Island.

Larry as told by Rob:

Larry is loving, selfless, compassionate, and a "fixer".

As a pediatric nurse in the critical care setting, he has to manage the health of babies and children that are severely sick. Beyond the medical component, his patients and their families need care, comfort, support and compassion that he endlessly provides.

These same behaviors are reflected within our household and with our families. I have no doubts that Larry is going to make an incredible father and I'm so excited to see him as a father.

Larry is the one telling a joke that makes the entire room laugh.

He is the one in the kitchen cooking up Sunday Sauce while we have our family over for Sunday dinner.

He will be the one to teach our little one how to tie their shoes and ride their bike.
